They used to say that age was irrelevant But I could never understand that phrase. I was forcing myself to live my life at twice my age. I was not the only one In thinking something's wrong. In the dark we couldn't see That you'd drained the light from. When you're pushed to the edge You all can see (I'm not dreaming) This was a life that I used to believe. used to believe it was all I could be. I know you waited just to see If I would've tipped myself over If only you'd noticed it took breaking your heart to believe. The only thing I fear is a hatred that can't be cured by love A hell much worse that what the devil dreams of Prayers from above cannot break this feeling. Someday I'll what I'm truly made of. By shutting the door behind me I can now finally breathe. You were no longer stealing All of the things that I wanted to be, I if were to die today, I could die smiling. When I look into the mirror I see the man I used to be. But as I walk away I realise, I turned my back on me. The only thing I fear is a hatred that can't be cured by love. A hell worse than what the devil dreams of. Prayers from above cannot break this feeling Someday I'll know what I'm truly made of. I swear, I'm never letting you break me again. The only thing I fear is a hatred that can't be cured by love. A hell much worse than what the devil dreams of Prayers from above cannot break this feeling Someday I'll know what I'm truly made of.

You wear your smile too well, To let it gather dust, & I can tell from your quivering lip That you are giving up. I know you're hurting I know that it's hard for you, But if you don't stick at it, The ghost in your attic will be you. Don't tell me there's no point to your life, That you can't even try, 'cause I would dim the world just to help you find the light. I swear it's alright, it's alright. Hold onto me & we'll get you through, Get you through the night. I've been down that road Of not knowing your home, & I can't stand to see you View yourself so low. Try not to wander too far, Through these sombre barren lands, & I know you've got the strength to keep out All the things you think you can't. I know it haunts you, The fear you'll fall again, But if you just stay poised, I'll block out the noise & pull you through. Let me show you there's a point to your life, That it's worth it to try. That even if the world blacks out there will always be a light. I swear it's alright, it's alright. Hold onto me & we'll get you through, Get you through the night. I've been down that road Of not knowing your home, & I can't stand to see you View yourself so low. Nothing burns brighter than a soul set alight, So pallet your flames & paint your smoke into the sky. I swear it's alright, it's alright. Hold onto me & we'll get you through, Get you through the night. I've been down that road Of not knowing your home, & I can't stand to see you View yourself so low.
